If you need help you can ask me.. If you are on Xbox Live the Xbox downloads the latest title update for that game. Microsoft closed down Xbox Live off for the original Xbox over 10 years ago now, however before that it was possible to update games like Halo 2 and download the content from within the game on the Xbox That's no longer possible, so you need to use the content installers by Harcroft which install and sign the content for use on your Xbox InsaneNutter , Oct 26, Okay tried out Aurora dashboard and it definitely loads the patches and tells you when it does, so that is nice.
I believe all I need to do is turn off liveblock, to get patches needed, yes I am on latest dash, but I will google stealth server usage to be safer, thank you.
Actually have never had an original xbox, I just am aware from using many xbox dvd games and xbox games there are many patches, and now more because of xbox one. When I transferred my data from my old hard drive to the new one the games that were installed from DVD were not transferred and either were the patches for any dvd games.
The xbox OS does not allow you to. Maybe next time I will transfer with my PC instead. User Info: OgesMC. Foppe posted Good stuff. I suppose it's also possible that you might have a broken Ethernet port on your console. I have dial-up for my PC and at one time on an older computer I was able to get online with both my and PS3 by going thru my computer.
I was able to trick the consoles into thinking that they were on high speed internet. The connection was super slow but it was good enough for getting patches but then I got a newer computer with Vista and couldn't get it to work again. So in my case, and I suspect there are others out there as well, this type of thing would be very nice. By the way the signs in Skyrim are awful! I also heard that the patches still haven't fixed that game's textures yet so even those with patch ability are still in the cold.
Foppe, can you list what websites you've found? Also how reliable are these updates from websites? Is it one of those things where people plant a virus in them to kill your Xbox? The system wont start it if anybody have tampered with it so it can't give your system virus.

General 1 Answer My discs comes out with ring looking scratches? Ask A Question. Try to follow this guide at how to patch Xbox games if you don't believe it. All you need to do to find out how to patch Xbox games is to get the free software PPF-O-Matic thanks to which format patches can be applied to games for the Microsoft console. Then connect to the Afterdawn website and click the button Download to download the program to your PC.
When the download is complete, double-click on it to open the file you just downloaded pdx-pom3. PPF-O-Matic doesn't need installations to work, just launch your executable and use it, so now all you have to do is get the patch to apply to your game and an image ISO of the game itself. Patches must be in PPF otherwise the program cannot process and apply them to video games. Once you have all the supplies you need, you can take action.
At this point, click on the button Apply and wait a few seconds for the ISO image of the Xbox game is patched correctly.
